Building your Bargain Bug-Out Bag: Canteen Cup

Canteen cup's are a great piece of gear to have. They allow you to make and drink warm beverages like coffee or hot cocoa. You can eat out of them as well as use them to boil water to rid it of any nasty bacteria. In the military we were issued canteen cups to nest with our canteens. They were used frequently to drink a warm beverage to raise moral.

There are plenty of camping cups out on the market. They come constructed from a wide variety of materials. Such stainless, titanium, and enamel coated ones. I typically try to stay with the stainless style that will nest with a 32oz civilian canteen (like Nalgene or Klean Kanteen's). I have been running a GSI Outdoors model that cost around $10 and it works very well. Not a bad price for a stainless canteen cup. However, a few weeks ago I was in Wal-mart perusing the camping isle and ran across one exactly like my GSI model. It had an awesome price of $4.88; a true bargain.

If your in need of a canteen cup, head to your local Wal-mart and pick one of these up. If you don't have a one close by or would rather pick one up online; check out the link below:
